If You Still Feel Like Dancing

about

This was written late last year when I thought the world was scary enough already. I hope this song isn't too depressing and maybe I shouldn't be writing about things I haven't really experienced but this is a story about older people who's kids have all moved away. They're up watching the horrors going on in the news and are worried about the future. But they decided to fight back. So the end is a celebration of the human spirit and fighting back!

lyrics

Lyrics:
The babies have grown
Yeah they’re off on their own
And these days they just call when they’re broke

And we're losing our sense
And honey it seems like the end
Has come a bit faster than we'd hoped

So here we sit
I guess this is it
Watching the world burn down on TV

But if you still feel like dancing
I do too

One by one
The long black cars they come
And take all our old friends away

Honey, I don’t know
Where the hell the go
Or when they’ll be coming for me

Don’t ask me my dear
If my heart's filled with fear
I probably wouldn’t hear you anyway

But if you still feel like dancing
I do too
