"Hey Ho!" "And everybody sing 'Hey Ho!'" "Hey Ho!" "Now everybody sing 'Let's go!'" "Let's go!" "Down into Florida where the old folks roam." I start to feel a strange wind blow As long and dark the shadows grow Now the sky's an awful gray As we continue on our way Down to the Everglades Yeah the Everglades The car starts making a rumbling sound I take off my headphones and look around Big dark swamp as far as I can see Man, I guess we must be In the Everglades Yeah the Everglades Still the driver says, "Everybody sing 'Hey Ho!'" The car slows down and then it stops Phones are dead, couldn't call the cops Panther crossing next five miles Alligators and crocodiles Then we hear a ghastly roar A sound I've never heard before Then something opens up my door I guess this is what they warned us for !!*#^$###@!!!*&!^!!! Come gather round children and listen now to me I’ll tell you a story though some will not believe Lay still, lay quiet in your linens of white And listen to my tale in the soft candle light Last night I’s awoken by the strangest cry And I sensed a darkness in the corner of my eye I tuned my gaze toward the strange silhouette And I heard a voice that I won’t soon forget The voice it quivered but I knew it all same ’Twas my long dead sister a-calling my name Were my eyes mistaken did ears my tell a lie I fell to my knees and asked the sky The voice said it’s no mistake your eyes they tell the truth ’Tis me, your sister, who stand before you I’ve journeyed so long through realms of gloom and haze To visit you dear brother but long I cannot stay Oh sister, dear sister are you spirit or are you flesh You look a little different from the day that you left I can’t quite recall as time so quickly passes But I can’t say I remember that you ever wore glasses She said, brother, you are right, these glasses are new I just use them for reading and sometimes driving too Hold on, I said, sister I thought you live up in the heavens so far Is it my understanding that you still have a car?? She said, dear brother, yeah i actually have Mom’s old car A lot of people bring them up here, they’re kinda nice to have Sister I said, Are there roads or something up there to drive on? I’m having a hard time imagining why you’d need mom’s car Brother, honestly, I mostly just use the car for storage My apartment is tiny and the closets are terrible. Sister ok yeah I guess that makes a little more sense But actually not really that’s all incredibly weird Brother yes it’s weird I know but can we talk about something else I didn’t journey all the way down here to talk about my car Of course, yeah sorry, I guess the glasses just threw me off Then then the driving comment further confused me, but sorry please go ahead. Thanks, I just came to say I love my brother, please know its true And I’ll always be up there looking after you
