about

I wrote this song this past Christmas when I got really sick with something called diverticulitis. It was terrible. Sickest I've ever been in my life and I had to go to the ER Christmas Eve and I missed Christmas. Anyway, I was feeling pretty bad when I wrote this.

lyrics

Lyrics:
Well, maybe I'm cursed
Or doomed or damned or worse

But I feel so sad and I feel so bad and I don’t know which came first

Sure, I might shake my ass when they blow the old trombone
But no matter what they say, I know I’m all alone

Well I've seen some things
Been the guest of queens and kings
Sailed the seven seas
Fought a dragon to his knees
But no pleasure did it bring

Sometimes I get so blue I feel like gettin' sick
So if that savior’s coming
I hope he gets here quick

And when I die
Lay a red rose on my chest
Let the Holy Ghost and the heavenly host take care of all the rest

'Cause I bet that Lord above’s got something up his sleeve
I never prayed too much but I always did believe
